Shipping, Returns & Refunds

At Got Bands Strands every collection is curated to a standard I stand fully behind. I want you to feel confident before you buy and completely satisfied when your order arrives. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order as it forms part of the agreement between us.
Shipping
All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. I aim to process and ship orders within one to two business days of payment confirmation. While I make every effort to ship as quickly as possible processing times may occasionally be extended due to order volume, carrier availability, personal circumstances, or other factors outside of my control. If there is an unexpected delay in processing your order I will communicate with you directly.
Shipping time estimates provided by USPS are not guaranteed by Got Bands Strands and I am not responsible for delays caused by USPS, weather events, natural disasters, customs processing, or any other circumstances outside of my control. Priority Mail typically delivers within one to three business days within the United States but this is an estimate and not a guarantee.
Once your order has been shipped and a tracking number has been provided risk of loss and title for the products passes to you. Any issues with delivery after the package has been accepted by USPS must be addressed through USPS directly, though I am happy to assist you in navigating that process.
I am not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer at checkout. Please review your shipping address carefully before completing your order. If you notice an address error immediately after placing your order please contact me at contact@gotbandsstrands.com as soon as possible. I will make every reasonable effort to correct the address before the order ships but I cannot guarantee corrections once an order has been processed and I am not liable for packages that ship to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
I currently ship within the United States. International shipping availability is at my discretion and any additional customs fees, duties, or taxes associated with international orders are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Shipping damage
If your package arrives with visible external damage to the packaging please photograph both the exterior packaging and the product contents before opening fully and contact me at contact@gotbandsstrands.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs. I will assist you in filing a damage claim with USPS.
Please note that shipping damage claims are filed with and processed by USPS and resolution timelines are determined by USPS. I will support you through this process but the outcome of a USPS claim is outside of my control.
Lost or missing packages
If your package is marked as delivered by USPS tracking but you have not received it please take the following steps before contacting me — check all potential delivery locations around your property, check with neighbors in case the package was left with them, check with all members of your household, wait 24 hours as USPS occasionally marks packages as delivered slightly before actual delivery.
If your package remains missing after following the above steps please contact me at contact@gotbandsstrands.com with your order number and I will assist you in filing a missing package claim with USPS. Please be aware that once a package has been accepted by USPS and a tracking number has been issued liability for the package transfers to USPS. I am not financially responsible for packages that are lost in transit after USPS acceptance, however I will do everything within my power to help you resolve the situation.
Got Bands Strands is not responsible for packages that are stolen after confirmed delivery to the address provided at checkout. If you are concerned about package theft I recommend requiring a signature for delivery or shipping to a secure location.
Incorrect address
I am not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer at checkout. Please review your shipping address carefully before completing your purchase. If you realize you have entered an incorrect address please contact me immediately at contact@gotbandsstrands.com. I will make every reasonable effort to correct the address before your order ships but I cannot guarantee corrections once an order has been processed. No refund or replacement will be issued for packages shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
All sales are final — no returns, no refunds
Due to the hygienic nature of hair products and the health and safety of all my customers all sales are final without exception. All purchases are non-returnable and non-refundable once an order has been placed and payment has been confirmed. This policy applies to all products sold through gotbandsstrands.com regardless of the reason for the return request.
I am completely transparent about this policy because I believe in an honest customer relationship built on informed purchasing. I provide detailed product descriptions, sourcing information, and accurate photography so that you can make a fully informed decision before buying. I encourage you to read all available product information and contact me with any questions before placing your order.
This policy is not a reflection of indifference to your experience — it is the industry standard for all hair product retailers and exists to protect the health, safety, and trust of every customer. An opened or handled hair product cannot be verified as unaltered and cannot be resold safely or fairly to another customer.
What I ask before you purchase
Before placing your order please read the full product description including texture details, origin information, length measurements, and color information, review all available product photography, consider your natural hair type and how it interacts with the described texture, ensure you are purchasing the correct length and quantity for your intended install, and contact me at contact@gotbandsstrands.com if you have any questions. I respond within 24 hours and would rather answer ten questions before your purchase than have you receive something that doesn't meet your expectations.
By completing a purchase you confirm that you have read and understood the product description, reviewed available photography, and agree to this sales final policy.
My quality commitment
I source every collection personally and hold every product to a standard I am genuinely confident in. I do not ship hair that I would not wear myself.
In the rare event that your order arrives in a condition that is materially different from what was described — meaning the product arrives visibly defective in a way that is clearly a sourcing or quality issue and not related to shipping damage or customer handling — I want to know and I will make it right.
To be considered under my quality commitment the issue must meet all of the following criteria — the item must be unused and unaltered in any way, you must contact me at contact@gotbandsstrands.com within 48 hours of delivery confirmed by USPS tracking, you must provide your order number, a detailed written description of the issue, and clear photographs showing the specific defect from multiple angles, and the issue must be a genuine product quality defect and not a variation in color appearance, texture difference based on your hair type, or dissatisfaction based on personal preference after purchase.
I will review each situation individually and respond within 48 hours of receiving your documentation. If a genuine quality defect is confirmed I will work with you to find an appropriate resolution which may include a replacement product subject to availability.
What is not covered
The following situations are explicitly not covered by my quality commitment and do not qualify for any return, refund, or replacement — color variation between screen display and physical product as screens vary in calibration and color rendering, texture variation based on your individual natural hair type, porosity, or styling method, any product that has been installed, colored, chemically treated, heat styled beyond normal use, or altered in any way, damage resulting from improper installation technique, damage resulting from failure to follow the included hair care guide, dissatisfaction based on a change of preference after purchase, issues reported after the 48 hour window from confirmed delivery, and packages confirmed as delivered by USPS tracking to the address provided at checkout.
Order cancellations
I aim to process orders quickly and cannot guarantee cancellations after an order has been placed. If you need to request a cancellation please contact me immediately at contact@gotbandsstrands.com with your order number. If your order has already been processed or shipped cancellation is no longer possible and this sales final policy applies in full.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
I maintain complete records of all transactions including order confirmations, payment authorizations, customer agreement to these terms at the time of purchase, shipping confirmations, USPS tracking and delivery confirmations, and all customer communications.
If you have a concern about your order I strongly encourage you to contact me directly at contact@gotbandsstrands.com before initiating any payment dispute or chargeback with your bank or payment provider. I am committed to resolving genuine issues and would prefer to work with you directly.
Chargebacks initiated without first contacting me, chargebacks filed for orders confirmed as delivered by USPS tracking, chargebacks filed after a product has been received and handled, and chargebacks filed on the basis of dissatisfaction with a policy that was clearly disclosed at the time of purchase will be disputed in full. I will respond to your financial institution with all available evidence and documentation to contest the dispute.
Customers who file fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks will be permanently banned from purchasing from Got Bands Strands, reported to my payment processor with full documentation, and may be subject to civil action to recover the disputed amount plus all associated fees and costs. Providing false information to a financial institution in connection with a chargeback claim may also constitute fraud under applicable law.
Complaints
I take all genuine customer concerns seriously. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience please contact me at contact@gotbandsstrands.com with your order number and a detailed description of your concern. I commit to responding to all genuine complaints within 48 hours and to working in good faith toward a fair resolution within the boundaries of this policy.
I ask that all communications remain respectful. I reserve the right to cease communication with customers who are abusive, threatening, or harassing toward me.

I built Got Bands Strands on a foundation of genuine quality and honest sourcing. Every product I sell is something I have personally evaluated and stand behind. This policy exists not because I expect problems but because clarity protects both of us and allows me to build the kind of brand that genuinely serves the women who invest in their look.
